Award for Best New Start-Up

Sponsor: London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames

Richmond Council is delighted to be supporting the Chamber and RTT’s Richmond Business Awards this year and to be sponsoring the Best Start Up Business Award category. With one of the country’s highest rates of self-employment, entrepreneurialism is a defining characteristic of our workforce. Celebrating the success of new start-ups is particularly important now in a time of increasing economic uncertainty with Brexit on the horizon, a challenging retail environment and ever increasing overhead costs.

This Award also compliments our brand-new business support programme – Richmond Enterprise Challenge: Step Up; Start Up and Scale Up which is aimed at pre-start-ups, early stage and growing businesses to give them the focused support they need to develop and grow – building a firm foundation for our future local economy.

We look forward to seeing some great new businesses opening in Richmond and to celebrating their success at the Richmond Business Awards Black Tie Gala Evening November 16th.
